An Intern’s Perspective On Pathbrite

On 03, Jul 2012 | No Comments | In Careers, Industry News | By Robert Collins

In my own opinion, what Pathbrite is doing is creating an innovative way for people to showcase and display their skills and interests. Given the fact that the world we live in is 75% digital, written resumes are becoming a thing of the past. In order to stand out in today’s competitive job market, having a digital image to portray yourself helps tell your unique and individual story. Not only does Pathbrite use photos, but they also gather other digital artifacts such as videos, Excel docs, audio clips, Khan Acadamey badges, etc. to help showcase knowledge.

Looking towards the future, porfolios are the best way schools, teachers and companies can assess their students, college applicants, and employment candidates in a holistic manner. Pathbrite porfolios go beyond the traditional resume and allows individuals to be elevated in a three-dimensional form. Pathbrite porfolios illuminate what the resume of the future will be. The question remains will you be ready for the digital shift?

Social Media news outlet, Mashable, published an article yesterday explaining how Pathbrite portfolios will be useful, and why they are being implemented. The article talked about how Pathbrite porfolios are “attractive, clickable, and full-bodied,” geniusly created, and yet simple to use.  Pathbrite portfolios appeal to students of all ages and learning levels and help to showcase talents that you can’t highlight on a traditional resume.  You can check out the article by clicking here.
