I’m so pleased to announced today the appointment of three key additions to the management team. These new team members will help extend Pathbrite’s reach as the leading ePortfolio platform in the K-12 and Higher Ed markets. They include:

  1. Derek Gordon, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer - Prior to joining Pathbrite, Derek was a marketing strategy consultant working with brands such as Daylife, Eventbrite, Visage Mobile, Brocade, Rackspace and Cisco. Before his work as a consultant, he served as VP of Marketing for Yield Software, which was acquired by Autonomy / HP; VP of Marketing and Interim CEO of Engage, which was acquired by Spark Networks; Interim CEO and VP of Marketing at Technorati; Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Thomson Learning (now Thomson Reuters); and Director of Communications at DigitalThink, the pioneering e-learning company that had a successful IPO and was eventually acquired by Convergys. Derek maintains a blog on marketing strategy and best practice called Daily Casserole.
  2. Christopher Gray, Chief Product Officer – Chris has led the product development efforts at Pathbrite since September 2011 and now assumes his present role. Before joining Pathbrite, Gray served as a product development and strategy consultant at Symantec where he launched the computer services business, NortonLive. Prior to that he worked as Director of Training for PeopleSoft, and created the online learning platform for Veritas.
  3. Regan Caruthers, Vice President of Sales - Regan most recently served as Director of Content Business Development at ed-tech company, Kno, Inc. Prior to that Caruthers served as Director of Business Development at CourseSmart. She also gained valuable experience working in Higher Ed systems for the Office of the Chancellor for both the California Community Colleges and the California State University System. Prior to working for California’s institutional leadership she served as Director of Business Development in the eLearning division for McGraw Hill Higher Education.

I am delighted to add such a stellar group of talent to our management ranks. With these appointments we’re bringing on board top-tier marketing, sales and product development talent with a deep bench of experience. Together with our current stellar team, I feel very confident we’ve now got the all the right people in place to achieve our ambitious product and growth goals.

Just by way of reminder, Pathbrite ePortfolios are available to any individual for free. Institutions interested in learning more about the Pathbrite ePortfolio platform and knowledge graph should visit http://www.pathbrite.com/institutions. We now have a VP of sales who’d love to speak with you!
